OnePlace Custom Settings Object

What is this feature and why did we build it?

Over the years we've added numerous custom features and integrations to OnePlace and some of those require configurations to be made within our client orgs. The standard SalesForce interface for our consultants to use when setting these configurations is convoluted and time consuming for them to navigate when working with our clients.

This feature has taken all of the relevant custom OnePlace Settings and bundled them into a single configuration console for our consultants to use to make us more efficient and scalable in how we implement and configure OnePlace for our clients.

How does this feature work?

1. Easy. You just jump into the App Launcher and click on "OnePlace Settings".

2. Then you can navigate around to find the settings you need.

Note: This first release does not yet include the final grouping, naming and help text which will go into this settings console. That will be added soon.

A Quick Find search will help to make finding the relevant settings fast and easy.

Required Set up

This feature was released in Package 250.0. 

  1. Go to the Sytem Administrator profile in an org, under Object Settings search for "OnePlace Settings" and set this tab to on by default.
  2. Done. (wink)
